First of the fungi

Came accross this unknown plant. Will try to identify it.
There are still lots of flinders ranges wattles hiding in the bushland. Some of them quite large!

It is only a puffball - but what a puffball!

Rain is coming - at last!

I can't remember waiting so long for the rain to come - it has been such a long period of fine sunny days - the bushland is hanging out for rain.
John and I spent the morning removing veldgrass. Came across some scratchings that may be small animals - marsupials?

Balmy days

Our Indian Summer continues with balmy days and evenings ... the bushland waits ...
I spent this morning removing Flinders Ranges Wattles from Health Dept. land.

Indian summer

The long warm autumn is continuing ... beautiful days, cool nights, and no rain ... the weeds such as veldgrass are making use of dew to start growing ... others are just waiting.
John and I continued removing veldgrass. Dorothy joined us later on.
