Filling in the gaps

It is amazing how you can work through an area, pulling out every bit of veldgrass you see, then come back a couple of weeks later and find veldgrass everywhere!
John and I worked in an area we have already 'done', and did it again.
The mornings are nice and cool, so no need to worry about snakes!

Pesky Flinders Ranges Wattles

Those pesky flinders ranges wattles are already coming into flower - their bright yellow flowers make them nice and easy to see in the bushland. I dealt with an infestation of them in our planting area while John went off in search of African Love Grass. Then I came across a whole lot of Pelargonium ... kept me busy for a couple of hours.

A long walk

It was quite a walk - almost 15 km - and took 3 and a half hours - but the weather was mild and sunny - so I am not complaining. We (Vicki, Daniel, Lesley, Maxine, and I) were surveying the route for the first leg of the Bush To Beach Trails network to be formally implemented by the Western Suburbs Regional Organisation of Councils (WESROC).

Pelargoniums get pulled

It was nice having visitors come along and give us a hand with pulling out those pesky pelargoniums - got stuck into a big patch that has been a problem area for a long time.

After the Pelargonium Pull we set off in search of the endangered Sun Moth - without success.
