Activities so far in 2014

Now that we are already well into the year, I thought I better update our site!

I have had problems downloading GPS data ... my current computer doesn't talk with my GPS, so I have to remember to take the GPS to work to download data ...

Improving the front verge

We began 2014 working on the front verge - as part of our strategy to raise the profile of the bushland and our friends group.

Veldgrass weeding

Our usual summer pattern is to remove veldgrass that has survived the winter spraying program. This is part of our strategy to reduce the risk of developing resistance to Fusilade (our most effective veldgrass spray) that appears to be happening in other nearby bushland reserves.

In-between weeding veldgrass we have been doing other things ... picking up rubbish, removing the bird hide, cutting down flinders ranges wattles ...  see below for details.
